Description of Vegveður Alpha
En-route weather prediction application for cars. This is an experimental version developed by grant from Vegagerðin in Iceland. The application currently only provides weather data for driving in Iceland.

(15-04-2020)What's newThis release adds rain and snow proximity parameters, allowing for indication of maximum precipitation within a 10km radius from the vehicle route. This is useful in order to have better idea of risk of precipitation, as precipitation can be difficult to place precisely in weather forecasts. An improved road conditions model is now included, giving indication of recent road wetness, snow on road and the possibility of icing on road based on wetness, temperature and cloud cover.
